The Effects of Wireungtang on the Hyperlipidemia of Mouse induced by Triton WR-1339 injection

Abstract
In order to investigate the effects of Wireungtang extract on the hyperlipidemia, the amount of the serum total cholesterol, free cholesterol, triglyceride, LDL cholesterol were measured after wireungtang extracts oral injection in mouse with Triton WR-1339. Also the distributive change of lipid blot and cholesterol particle in the hepatic and renal tissuess were investigated.
The results were obtained as follows ;
1. The amount of the serum total cholesterol, free cholesterol, triglyceride, LDL cholesterol were noticeably decreased in Wireungtang-extracts oral injection group with TX injection group at hour-24 and 48 after TX injection.
2. The hepatocyte having meshlike cytoplasm were shown in the all hepatic lobule at hour 48 after TX intraperitoneal injection, but in Wireungtang-extracts oral injection group, the hepatocyte meshlike cytoplasm were appeared in some portal space.
3. At hour-24 and 48 after TX injection the Lipid blot and the cholesterol particle of hepatocyte were remarkably increased in the all hepatic area and the size of these enlarged, but at Wireungtang-extracts oral injection group, the Lipid blot and the cholesterol particle of hepatocyte were remarkably decreased in the all hepatic area than TX injection group and the size of these were diminished.
4. At hour-24 and 48 after TX injection, the parietal layer of Bowman¢¥s capsule is swelled such as cuboidal type. At Wireungtang-extracts oral injection group, the parietal layer of Bowman¢¥s capsule is shaped such as squamous type that was looked like as saline injection group.
5. At hour-24 and 48 after TX injection, the distribution of lipid blot were noticeably increased in glomerulus and covoluted tubule, but at Wireungtang-extracts oral injection group, these blot were noticeably decreased in glomerulus than TX injection group and these were disappeared in covoluted tubule. At hour-48 after TX injection, the cholesterol particle in covoluted tubule were noticeably increased, but at Wireungtang-extracts oral injection group, the covoluted tubule had few cholesterol particle than TX injection group.
